David Dyakov is an internationally celebrated classical guitarist, admired for his expressive depth, technical mastery, and innovative contributions to the instrument.
With a career spanning more than 24 years and over 25 first prizes in international competitions—including the Koblenz International Guitar Competition, Forum Gitarre Wien, and the Deajeon International Guitar Competition—David has established himself as one of the foremost guitarists of his generation.
He has performed over 500 solo concerts across Europe and Asia, captivating audiences in Italy, Spain, Croatia, Austria, Liechtenstein, Eastern Europe, China, and South Korea.
As a soloist, he has collaborated with esteemed orchestras including the Sofia Philharmonic, Athens Symphony Orchestra, Montenegro Radio Orchestra, and the Czech Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra.
His performances have been featured in prominent festivals such as Musica Mundi Festival, Brühler Schlosskonzerte, and the Rheingau Musikfestival.
David was named Musician of the Year by Bulgaria's national classical station, Classic FM Radio, in recognition of his artistic excellence and contribution to the classical guitar tradition.
Beyond the stage, David is a passionate educator and artistic advocate. As founding chairman of the Cologne Guitar Society, he promotes guitar culture and performance in Germany. He is also a prolific arranger, enriching the guitar repertoire with his transcriptions of Baroque, Classical, and Romantic masterpieces.

My approach to the classical guitar is rooted in clarity, expression, and musical depth. I aim to help students not just play, but truly understand and embody the instrument.
I break down left- and right-hand movements so you understand exactly why something works - not just how to copy it. This creates a strong, efficient foundation for all levels of playing.
Tone creation is at the centre of my teaching - touch, relaxation, phrasing, colour, and expression. Every student learns to develop their own musical voice.
You don't need to practise for hours to improve. With focused principles, you learn to practise smart, not endlessly, making every session meaningful.
Interpretation, style, emotional flow, and stage presence - the qualities that truly make a guitarist stand out - are emphasized in every lesson.
Lessons are available online or in person (Cologne, Germany) and in English, German, Russian and Bulgarian.
